Leif Djurhuus has a special passion for young, contemporary art and his collection is one of the largest in Denmark. The collection is primarily based on intuitive purchases, many of which are continuously shown at exhibitions world wide.
His first piece of art was an aquarelle by the Danish artist Sven Dalsgaard, one of his eye motifs.

In the 1980s Leif Djurhuus was primarily focused on the Danish artist movement ‘De unge vilde’ ('The Young Wild'). In 1992 he made his first trip to Documenta and this first international experience with the contemporary art world was an eye opener to his future purchases. Based on his art encounters at Documenta and the art fairs in Cologne and Basel, he decided to start an art collection in the summer of 1993.
On a daily basis he works as lawyer and partner at Plesner law firm.
